A pirate and a movie director walk into a kitchen................

Louis' mum Sheila came in to do some pumpkin carving with the boys before the mid term break. They really enjoyed it, were very creative and engaged. Thank you Sheila.

Jack enjoyed Robotics workshops in 4th class during the month of October.

We went to Dangan for our Outdoor Classroom Workshop with Carol Barrett. We walked, became a wolf pack, looked at trees and leaves, played games, coloured cut outs of swallows, wrote our names in the Ogham alphabet on bookmarks. It was great. Thank you Carol.

,We had a visit from Michel DeStrade, a mathematician from NUIG, during Maths Week. He played some games with us where we had to count, estimate, problem solve, turn take, record data...............it was fun. Thank you Michel.

Earlier in October the students in SS Glas planted conkers to mark Tree Day.

5th Class 1 had a fantastic trip to Dangan Woods for our outdoor classroom with Carol Barrett on Tuesday. The children were able to showcase their amazing knowledge of the natural environment and they participated with great enthusiasm during the tree walk, nature games and when learning about ogham.
